Bought it a month ago and I wish I had been better informed or looked more into this frig. before I bought it. The water from the w. dispensar, doesn't come out cold. When it drips, drips down the refrigerator door, living water spots. And it looks like the door is out of place, at the top is higher than the frig. itself,and at the bottom, has a very big gap between the floor and the door. Doesn't look good to me at all. Very unhappy!

Great features and quiet

I am very happy with my new refrigerator. It had everything I was looking for including a drawer for cheese and lunch meats and 2 fruit and vegetable drawers. It has lots of room and is quiet. Also, the shelf design is better than my last refrigerator which had a "Lip" on the the back side where things would fall over.

Everything OK except the ice maker is a joke.

The Refridge is fine except the ice maker. When we use the front ice dispenser, usually about 5 minutes after dispensing ice, an ice cube or two will end up on the floor. We have removed a clump of ice the size of a baseball twice from the bottom of the ice reservoir. Finally just quit using the ice dispenser and get ice by getting ice by hand after opening the freezer door. Somebody must have been smoking something really good when they designed the ice maker.

I bought this refrigerator almost a month ago. Spent about 5 days trying to get the temperature right-it was freezing everything. Called the warranty folks and they were very helpful, scheduled a repairman and told him they had had this problem before and told him witch part to order. He came out and replaced the part. It didn't fix the problem. Called the warranty folks back, they had the repairman come out again. This time he did some testing and ordered another part. That was a week ago. The part is on factory back order with no delivery date. Meanwhile I can't use my brand new refrigerator and have been living out of a cooler. Everyone has been helpful, but it hasn't done any good. I do not recommend this appliance.

I picked the Maytag because I liked the extra warranty. I have had good luck with previous Maytag appliance purchases. The refrigerator is quiet. I like the ice/water feature in the front of the door and the fingerprint resistant stainless is the Best!

I just purchased this refrigerator as part of a new kitchen suite and it has been working great since installation. I've always liked a side by side and this one has adequate room inside for all food items. The lighting is bright and spreads nicely throughout the interior when the doors are open.

The instructions were wrong for the set up. It says you can just pull the vent thing off the bottom so you can level out the fridge, but there are screws in there. The screws are so tight that I can't get them off. So as a result, the doors are off center because I cannot get it off to get to the adjusters. The fridge is randomly really loud.

I've only had this for around 1 month. Right off the bat I decided I didn't like the ice dispenser. It's way back in the nook, it always drop one more cube in the shut when you're done. You have to stick your finger up inside and manually open the door and let it drop, or it will melt on the floor. I'm not sure about 2 compressors. It seems like one is always running.

So much for ever buying another Maytag product. They used to mean quality. Apparently not anymore. Ice hangs up in ice maker and you have to dislodge by hand. Else, it melts to a size that ejects on to the floor, creating a safety hazard.

I bought this fridge in December (5 months ago). The first fridge that was delivered to my home had uneven doors. The technician tried to even the doors, but was unable, so Maytag exchanged the fridge for a new one. The second fridge never made ice. A technician was sent out twice to fix the problem, but the machine never made ice. I was told it was a problem with the freezer door, and the whole door would need to be replaced. Also, they had no idea when a door would be available because I had to wait until they were being produced, as they do not stock the doors. 2 months later, after a dozen phone calls I was told a replacement fridge would be sent. Well the day of delivery they called after my window of delivery and said the shipment did not come in. Needless to say I had cleaned out my fridge and put everything in coolers just to put in back in the broken fridge. So, today they finally arrive with my new fridge (fridge #3), and this time the inside liner has major scratches and the light on the water/ice dispenser does not work at all. Finally after 3 hours of phone calls I am receiving a refund, although they wanted to send me a 4th fridge. I have never received an apology from this company or any incentive to continue to be their customer.

Nice fridge, but really noisy...

Purchased this fridge to replace a 25 Cu Ft Kenmore/Whirlpool side by side, very similar. The Whirlpool was very quiet - had to really listen to see if it was running. Not so with this new Maytag. The Condenser fan is quite loud, can hear it humming 3 rooms away. Then when the compressor starts, it really gets attention. Sounds like a commercial fridge... My dad asked if I had gone to the store and asked for the loudest one they could get! To compare, it is easier to hear the fridge running than the dishwasher. Additionally, there is a condensation spot on the door where insulation was missed. I have adjusted the temps to proper levels per the manual, and it is still there. To top it off, we had a soda bottle leak, and it dripped down the shelves. The "fancy" metal/glass shelf got soda between the layers - there is no way to clean between them! Shelf is now stained. When we set the fridge up, we noticed there was silicon sloppily placed on moving parts, and elsewhere. It was all over the inside of the fridge, not very precise. It took a lot of cleaning to get that cleared up. We have been purchasing Maytag appliances as we replace our old ones, and all have been good (I'd buy them again) except the fridge. I have let this fridge run for 3 months prior to reviewing it, to see if it would settle in and quiet down. No such luck. While it works and does it's job, it is certainly not anywhere near the quality of the lower level 15 year old Kenmore/Whirlpool fridge it replaced. I wish I kept that old one... at least the Maytag looks nice.

Louder than the lg we previously owned

Over all great space and use of space. It is very loud compared to the LG we had previously owned. Lots of storage and looks great in the kitchen gives it a upscale touch. A classy addition to my kitchen. One issue we have is the refrigerator door swings open and hits the cabinets with their was some kind of door stop.
